Lunchbox History presents “Gertrude Ellis Travels Abroad in 1889” with historian, author, and MCHS Executive Director, Randal J. Forster.

Learn about the early travels of Gertrude Ellis when she visits over 30 cities in Europe, Palestine, and Egypt. Ms. Ellis documented her 14 month tour with her letters published in the Austin Register, so everyone back home could share in the experience.

This FREE event, sponsored by the Mower County Historical Society, will be in the Pioneer Building. Everyone is invited to “Bring your lunch AND bring a friend,” to learn about history in a relaxing environment during the middle of the day.
